– DVD video chapter – The Upper Room

– Location –

Modern day Mt. Zion is the site of the Room of the Last Supper.  However, there is great contention regarding the authenticity of this location.  There is a spot referred to as the "Upper Room", but unfortunately, this upper room is located in a building that was constructed in 1335 A.D.  A tradition arose in the 5th century A.D. that linked the room of the Last Supper with the event of Pentecost and the two events became attached to the same spot thereafter.  In any event, most scholars do believe that both of those events occurred in the general vicinity of modern day Mt. Zion.

– Scripture –

·         1 Kings 2:10 - David is buried in the City of David.

·         Mark 14:15; Luke 22:12 - Jesus partakes of the Last Supper with His disciples.

·         Acts 1-2 - The events on the Day of Pentecost.

– Questions –

1.     Is the place of the Supper the most important fact or the meaning of the Supper?

2.     Did Jesus say we are to do this regularly so that we shall remember Him?

3.  Pentecostal revival – who turned the frighten and hiding apostles into bold and courageous messengers of Jesus and His message? (See Acts 2:1.)
